Job Summary

We are looking for a seasoned Sourcing Manager with an affinity for textiles and home goods. This individual will lead our sourcing team, manage our vendor relationships, and oversee the entirety of our sourcing activities. Besides having a comprehensive background in sourcing and procurement. Ideal candidates should also have a history of effective team management and excellent bilingual communication skills (English and Mandarin Chinese).
Job Responsibilities
------------------------------------------------------
* Source, evaluate, and onboard new vendors for our textile, ceramic, and home goods product lines.
* Develop and nurture relationships with existing vendors to further company objectives.
* Regularly review vendor performance and develop action plans for improvements if necessary.
* Oversee all purchase orders to ensure timely delivery, while meeting cost and quality standards. Work with vendors to rectify any delays or problems promptly, and keep relevant parties informed about the progress.
* Collaborate with the team to place replenishment purchase orders in order to ensure adequate stocks of textiles, ceramics, and home goods to meet market demand.
* Identify and manage relationships with photography studios for high-quality product imagery for marketing purposes.
* Oversee the sampling process for new product development, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints and quality standards.
* Lead and manage the sourcing team, providing guidance, coaching, motivation, discipline, and performance feedback.
Job Requirements

* 10+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in a managerial role, with a focus on textile, ceramic, and home goods products.
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as textile engineering, supply chain management, business administration, or procurement.
* Strong knowledge of sourcing best practices, vendor management, and negotiation techniques, specifically within the textile field.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese, both written and verbal.
* Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a high-performing team.
* Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
* Proficiency in using sourcing and inventory management software and tools.
* Located in Nantong or able to commute to Nantong on a regular basis. Able to travel as needed for work requirements.
